Ghost Mania!

Hey everyone,

Seems like with Halloween and Autumn in general drawing nearer everyone is in a frenzy over the newest discovered hybrid to hit the Wizard101 universe that's right I am talking Red Ghost mania. Heck even Father Blogger The Friendly Necromancer posted a video on his blog about the Red Ghost. Secretly I've had my Red Ghost for about 2 weeks or so and secretly I have slowly been breeding in talents to it. My goal is to create an awesome Red Ghost for my Necromancer Morgrim Shadowshade. Check out the Progress below (1st picture is Grandparent, 2nd is Parent, 3rd is Baby)

Now it's been awhile since I talked or even posted about my Necromancer Morgrim "Morty" Shadowshade. He sort of became my secret project. I am happy to announce about a week ago he became a Legendary Necromancer. The only people who really knew were my good friends in KT (KTwizards) that I was working on a Death wiz them and Blaze Stormthief. Now it's time for my family (Cassandra Dragonheart, Lady Blade, and SorceressMiklai) and maybe our extended family KT to farm up Waterworks for my gear.

In a small unrelated note I hope you all have noticed the new changes to the blog for the upcoming Halloween season. Any feedback is appreciated. I made the new header using GIMP 2.6 using a Halloween GIMP Brushes set from DeviantART and a Shawn of the Dead font I got from http://www.dafont.com/ .

Full steam ahead

Hello wizards as many of you may now know Wintertusk is in the Test Realm along with a plethora of other updates to the game both to gameplay, aesthetics, and pets.

One thing can summon up this Test Realm: BEST EVER!!! Oh wait that was 2 words but goes to express the sheer amazingness of it all. the KT group on Skype as well as the Wizard101 community on twitter exploded with glee as we all logged into the Test Realm. Even the cool Kevin Battleblood cried with excitement trust me we were all on call I heard it myself.

I honestly didn't know where to begin so I went with what I naturally DON'T do -- I started Questing. The initial impression I had was while aesthetically pleasing WinterTusk seemed a tad crowded  now whether this was from the countless amounts of players in the game or from the fact WinterTusk especially the area of Hrundle Fjord is very Village like in fact it is a village and so there are many houses etc that seem to take up a lot of the room. Don't let me dissuade you however once you get to Austrilund and onward the areas are pretty wide open.

Now let's move on to where I would naturally start at -- Pets! New Lv 58 pets are available although aesthetically pleasing I have heard many complaints on the pets themselves. Which range from lack of accuracy on the innate cards to lackluster talents. I myself am overall pleased with the Judgement pet although I'd wish KI would of scrapped Mana Gift on all pets as well as the 2 astral talents -- Vengeance and Gargantuan. As far as design go KI hit their mark each pet has it's own personality and animations look great.
Another complaint from fans is a apparent glitch regarding hybrids which a resulting hybrid isn't hatched from the appropriate pet i.e. a Judgement and Kraken somehow make a Fire wyvern.

Overall this is the greatest update to come to the game the sheer richness of Wintertusk along with the various new activities for a wizard to do will have many of us busy for quite a while.

"The Deathsong of the Wiz Hunters" Episode VIII Upcoming Inspired by Amber Deathsong and other news.

       Late night luck folks in the very early hours of today as I was looking for a Pyromancer or Thaumaturge stormzillas tried to lead me sway me but I was saved whether it was cause of Bartleby or maybe even Bernie or Ashley my prayers were answered my friend Bailey Skystaff appeared baring gifts of gold and a Helephant. We mixed of course but unfortunately for me Purreau, The god cat of mixes was in favor of Bailey I got another hydra (Not a complete lost this one has a 54 Pedigree) but Mrs Skystaff was able to get herself a Plague Oni hybrid congratz Bailey.

         More late night goodness after I decided to farm Jade Oni me and my friends The lovely captivating and stubborn Alura Hexcaster (Balance) her baby fire wizard Jordan Duskflame and our good buddy Joshua Wyrmwraith on his alt Storm wizard Joshua Wyrmcloud promptly owned the green monster about our 6-9th Battle the Jade Oni after almost a year of stubbornness decided to give me the Jade Oni pet :D needless to say I was happy. Also Alura got lucky too at the Gurtok Demon and procured for herself an Ianthine Spectre and the title of "Minion Mistress' gratz my lovely queen you deserve it.

      Lastly but certainly the most important as I was chatting with Bailey she told me of how the Friendly Necromancer family really enjoys my comic needless to say to myself I had no idea they enjoyed it as much as they do. Especially their daughter Amber Deathsong I must admit I was extremely flattered and was blow away by what Bailey told me so the next episode is named in her honor and will be dedicated to Amber and all I can say is look for One or several cameos from Amber in the comic all this still reminds me everyday what great people make up the W101 community.

A true master of Monsters...(New pet :D)

That's right after years of secretly training with  Lord Voldemort this Sorcerer has learned to become a Parsel tongue but more importantly he has also found he has always been a heir of Slytherin. (Boo! you Gryffindors Jk). I have found the way and now I control the mighty Basilisk of Salazar Slytherin FEAR ME! Muahahaha!
Actually I have completed a not so life long dream of obtaining a Basilisk Pet as many of you know its a dream pet for me and I got it with the help of my truly dear friend SorceressMiklai A.K.A Alura Hexcaster. Now you may think Woohoo! Alric congratz and that's the end of it but no you are wrong I wasn't the only one with success in our experiment SorceressMiklai and I plan to rule the world of witches and wizards with my Basilisk pet at my side(Mister Romeo) and her Cerberus pet at hers(Sir Brutus).Yup folks this hatch was a Double success both parties I'm happy to say are extremely satisfied as I know we held off hatching together for longer then I could possibly bare although I'd never let her know that ;-) Lets not forget though the awesome parents that made this hatch possible everyone please give three cheers to Echidna who is actually my Hydra Tigra and Typhon who is Alura's Orthrus Baby Dexter The Mother and Father of All Monsters Hehehe.

Pet Info-Grumpy Snowman

So I farmed for the Grumpy Snowman today in Knight's Court from Jacques the Scratcher here is info about it

-They obviously changed his name its no longer Malign Frost
-They also changed the error the earlier versions had of showing that it gives 0 Evil Snowman card
-This version does give 1 Evil Snowman card
-It also is a No Auction pet so you can't sell it to the Bazaar

I personally am very happy I got this pet I farmed Jacques for almost a week and I was fruitless until today Jacques can be a very stubborn boss when it comes to pets I got 3 Ornate Wall Clocks(A Crowns housing Item) before I got this pet but hey the Storm and Fire equipment he drops can bring in good amounts of cash when in bulk amounts so I say to you wizards out there Persistence is key unless your are lucky of course.
